Why migrate your applications to the cloud

Atlassian will focus on developing cloud products and will no longer sell server licenses from 2021. Server products will continue to be supported for the next 3 years through security updates, but without the development of new features. The cloud solution will be more cost-effective in the coming years, as the annual support fee will be equal to the cost of supporting the legacy solution.

Termination of server license sales. If an enquiry is made before this date, the actual purchase can be made until 2 March 2021.

2 February 2022

Last option to edit the number of licenses. It will not be possible to increase the number of users after this date.

2 February 2024

End of support. After this date, no further updates to the app will be released and no security vulnerabilities will be fixed.

Choose your solution

Cloud

As part of the move to the cloud, several offerings are available from Atlassian.

  • The most important is the ability to set up and run a cloud version of the product you currently have in the server version.

  • Active support for the product is a prerequisite.

  • Cloud versions with the same number of licenses you already have (max. 5000) can be used free of charge for the entire period of valid support.

  • If you have 6 more months of active support, you can use the cloud versions of the products free of charge for the entire time and prepare for an easy transition to the cloud.

  • Another advantage of the cloud - especially for growing teams - is the ability to pay monthly for the current number of licenses. So you're not tied down by package sizes. And with a stable number of users, a more annual payment is more suitable for you. We'll advise you which option is better for you.

  • For annual contracts, we can fix the price up to two years in advance.

Datacenter edition

For larger installations, it will still be possible to use the Datacenter version of the products.

  • Licensing for Datacenter versions starts at 500 users.

  • If you have more than 1000 users, attractive offers and discounts are available for migration to the cloud.

  • The Datacenter version of the products is not yet subject to an end of sales and support date.

  • However, as of February 2, 2021, the price for product licenses and support will be increased, as mentioned at the top of this page.

No problem, we can help you with installation, setting up excellent availability, and transferring data from your current instance.

Consultation for migration

  • The main service offered is the migration of your projects and the setup of the newly created cloud environment.

  • If you have paid support for the server version, you can have a free trial of the cloud for the duration of active support. This avoids the need for concurrent payments for services.

  • Even without paid support, we'll help you out and provide a free cloud demo for 30 days (as opposed to the standard 7 days). This will result in 30 days of free operation.

Modifications to existing integrations

  • Cloud versions of Atlassian tools have a slightly different API compared to the server version. If you have connections to these systems or use custom integrations, you may need to modify them.

  • We analyze your current integrations, design and implement modifications so that they serve you to your full satisfaction even in a cloud environment.

Configuration review and modification design

  • Migrating to the cloud is an ideal time to review your settings, both your own Atlassian tools, project workflows, Confluence spaces, and user accounts.

  • It's not uncommon for customers to discover many no longer needed, unused user accounts - i.e. licenses - during a review, which, especially in a cloud environment, can mean significant savings.

  • We can help you with reviewing settings, "cleaning up" and checking inactive accounts.
