We started preparing the website one year before the SWC Summit. The assignment gave us a relatively free rein to chose technologies and page design. Therefore we were not afraid to be innovative.
With regard to graphics we decided to go with the design that underlines the visual style of the whole event, is characterized by distinct colours and also includes simple parallax elements. The web’s structure is both sufficiently minimalistic and intuitive to allow users navigate with ease and at the same time to serve as a conversion channel for the sale of tickets.
We used the state-of-the art technologies for both the back end and front end. We chose the easily customizable Next.js for the back end.
The website started running in September 2018, and the layout and arrangement of individual categories were completed in the middle of January, when the SWC Summit programme started to shape up. Subsequently, we needed to stay flexible to keep up with the continuous requirements of the Client, until the very end of the event.
